Privacy Policy
This policy explains which personal data KRONOBI LIMITED processes when you use the Kronobi app and the kronobi.com website, why, who it is shared with, and what your rights are, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Data collected
We collect the data needed to run the service: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, the profile details Google provides; your phone number, verified by SMS; the emergency contacts you enter yourself (name, phone, email); your location, when an alert is triggered or when you agree to share it with a loved one who asks for it; the IP address of your connection at the time of an alert, to estimate an approximate location when GPS is unavailable; your subscription details (plan, status, Stripe customer ID), never your card details; and, if you turn on Sentinelle, the public wallet addresses you choose to monitor. The private keys of your wallets never leave your device: Kronobi neither receives nor stores them. When you fill in the access request form on kronobi.com, your name and email are processed by Formspree (Formspree Inc., United States) so that we can get back to you.
Purposes of processing
Your data is processed to: run the app, send alerts to your emergency contacts, verify your phone number, process your payments and manage your subscription, keep the service secure, and send you information about your account.
Legal basis
Processing is based on the performance of the contract (provision of the service) and your explicit consent (geolocation, alerts).
Recipients and processors
Your data is never sold. Only the providers the service needs can access it, each limited to its task: Google (Firebase: data and servers hosted in the European Union), Twilio (alert and verification SMS and WhatsApp messages), Resend (emails), Stripe and Coinbase Commerce (payments), Cloudflare (delivery of the web app), ipinfo.io (approximate location from an IP address), Alchemy (monitoring of the public wallet addresses watched by Sentinelle), Telegram (forwarding alerts to operators, only if you have turned on operator follow-up), Hostinger (hosting of kronobi.com) and Formspree (access request form). Some of these providers are located outside the European Union, notably in the United States; these transfers are covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Retention period
Account data: kept for the duration of your subscription and up to 3 years after it ends, unless you ask for deletion. Alert data (alert record, acknowledgements, sending logs): deleted automatically after 90 days. Locations shared at a loved one's request: deleted automatically when the share expires. You can ask for your account and data to be deleted at any time.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase and port your data, and to restrict or object to its processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@kronobi.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Irish supervisory authority, the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie), or with the authority of your country of residence.
Security
All communication between the app and our servers is encrypted (TLS). The sensitive data in your vault is encrypted on your device, with a key specific to your account, before it is stored. Access to production data is limited to the team members who need it.
Cookies
The site uses cookies strictly necessary for its operation and for memorizing your preferences (language). No third-party advertising or tracking cookies are deposited without your consent.
